I came home unannounced for several reasons. Firstly, I wanted to surprise my friends, but as some of you know, I was in turn surprised by their warm welcome when I walked into my apartment. I have to confess, I was touched by those who were there because their presence (and this includes those who wanted to be there but couldn’t) was a simple demonstration of their care and friendship that we share.
Secondly, I wanted to spend some time with my family as I have missed that for a while. Though I would love to meet up with my friends, one has to admit, families will only be around for such a time and I would like to make the best of it. Esp. since they have been so supportive to my one year hiatus.
