For those who are even less IT savvy than me (which cant be many right?) I have installed a ping box. Well, I think that is what you call it lah... basically it is a conversation box that only myself and the person who "ping" me can read, that is providing I have my YM turned on. Even if it wasn't turned on, anyone can leave me a message and I can retrieve it when I turn it on...
So, in a nutshell, it is almost like a chat box.
So, since installing it, I have been able to track the number of visitors to my page, including myself... Yes, I am pinged without prejudice.
Anyway... so based on this ping box, I can tell that I have a visitor and I can also tell how long they have stayed... some do stay awhile... and some, not very long... less than 5 minutes I have noted on several occasions. I suppose, either they are those who come checking up to see if I have updated it, or those who come and gasp in horror at the nonsensical things I blog about and leave in disgust of wasting their time ever wondering into my personal literary haven.
I have on several occasions tried to even engage them in conversation... but I am only greeted with silence... once, I even pinged myself! Yep, that was when I discovered even my presence to my own blog is counted...
Anyway... what I am trying to say is this...
To all my Silent Visitors, thank you for dropping by. I do apologise if this blog is not all that great and happening. In truth, I am not that happening. My friends make me happening. And for that, I love them.
Also, to all my Silent Visitors, I do appreciate if you have a thought, comment or your own personal sharing what was triggered by my ramblings, please feel free to pen them down for my reading pleasure. I do not assume that my thoughts are THE thoughts and that only my opinion matters. If that was the case, I would not have had installed a comment box.
